Toronto FC vs. Columbus Crew: 3 takeaways

TFC showed plenty of grit against the Crew in earning their first come-from-behind win in MLS since the summer of 2024.

Toronto FC heads into the international break with a bit of momentum after earning a 2-1 home win over the Columbus Crew on Saturday.

The result allowed Toronto (2-2-1) to extend its unbeaten run to three consecutive games and end things on a high note before MLS shuts down for the upcoming FIFA international window. It was also a nice bounce-back result and performance by TFC following their disappointing showing in last week's home opener

"It was frustrating last week, not only with the result, but the way that we played at home. We felt like we left a lot on the table there and wanted to be a lot more aggressive this game, and I thought our performance in general was more deserving of three points this week than last week," centre back Walker Zimmerman said.

Here are my three major takeaways from Saturday's match.
