Benjamin Kuscevic had pretty much done it all during his club career in South America.

League titles and Chilean Super Cups were won with Santiago-based Deportivo Universidad Católica, his hometown club. More success came his way when he joined São Paulo’s SE Palmeiras, one of the most popular South American outfits, including winning a Brazilian league championship and two Copa Libertadores.

But when TFC presented him with an opportunity to come to MLS for the 2026 season on a loan deal (with an option to purchase) from Brazilian side Fortaleza Esporte Clube, he jumped at the chance.

“They spoke with my agent. I was very close to [joining] some Brazilian teams, but in the moment, I knew about the offer or the possibility to come to Toronto. I tried to force [a move] all I could, and I was really looking forward to come here," Kuscevic said.
