TFC notebook: Full steam ahead for Reds going into home opener

Toronto FC is riding high after getting off to its best start to the MLS season since 2021. But there's still lots of work to do.

After collecting four points on the road through its first two matches, Toronto FC turns its attention to preparing for this weekend's home opener against Charlotte FC.

Here are some news and notes from Wednesday's practice at the BMO Training Ground.

Reds look to keep momentum going into home opener

With a draw and a win in its first two games of 2024, Toronto FC has already equaled its number of road points from last season when it managed to earn just four draws in its travels.

A 0-0 draw in the season opener away to FC Cincinnati, the reigning Supporters' Shield holders, was followed up by a gritty 1-0 win over the New England Revolution last week at Gillette Stadium, where the Reds had won just four times in their previous 21 visits.
