This is the latest instalment of a semi-regular feature series at TFC Republic where we will speak to an Apple TV commentator about the current state of Toronto FC.

This week: Analyst and former Canadian international Kaylyn Kyle talks about the club's ongoing injury crisis, which TFC newcomers have impressed the most, the Reds' upcoming six-game road swing, and much more.

This Q&A has been lightly edited and trimmed for brevity and clarity.

What’s been your impression of Toronto FC through its first 12 games of the regular season?

It's been obviously frustrating for them because they go out and sign Josh Sargent and you think he's going to be their saving grace. And then they pick up so many key injuries that it’s kind of derailed their season. I always say this, and it's not because I'm Canadian, but the league is always better when Toronto FC is winning. The fans are amazing. The venue's amazing. So, it’s been difficult for them this season, but again, a lot of it has to do with so many key injuries the last few weeks.
