Welcome to TFC Tidbits, a special feature at TFC Republic that curates bits and pieces of news about what's going on with Toronto FC.

French defender had been out since last May

Somewhat overshadowed by Toronto FC’s ongoing injury crisis is the recent return to action of defender Nicksoen Gomis.

While 13 players were out injured for last Saturday’s 3-1 road loss to Charlotte FC, TFC did receive a boost when Gomis was subbed on in the 58th minute for Raheem Edwards.

Gomis, 24, was limited to six MLS appearances during the 2025 season (his second campaign with Toronto) after suffering an Achilles tendon injury in a game vs. the New England Revolution on May 3 and was ruled out for the rest of the year.
