Richie Laryea included in Canada's latest roster
The Toronto FC wingback has been named to Jesse Marsch's squad for next month's Canadian Shield tournament.
A lengthy injury layoff hasn’t prevented Toronto FC wingback Richie Laryea from being recalled by the Canadian men’s team.
Coach Jesse Marsch on Wednesday unveiled his 23-man roster for next month’s Canadian Shield Tournament in Toronto, and included in his squad is Laryea, who was the only TFC player to make the cut.
The inaugural Canadian Shield tournament brings together Canada, Ukraine, Ivory Coast and New Zealand for a four-match series during June’s FIFA international window. Canada faces Ukraine on June 7 and Ivory Coast on June 10. All games will take place at BMO Field.
