Toronto FC's nine-game homestand in MLS comes to an end this weekend when it welcomes Lionel Messi and Inter Miami to town.

TFC (3-3-5) sit eighth in the Eastern Conference, just inside the playoff zone, but they are winless in six games across all competitions and haven't recorded a victory since April 4. This home stretch hasn't quite gone to plan for the Reds – just 11 out of a possible 24 points – and they won't be back at BMO Field after this weekend until mid-August with their next six contests coming on the road.

"Going into a game like this, you want to end that home slate on a positive front with the full three points. I think that would put us in a decent spot, but there's no denying that we feel like we've dropped a lot of more points than we would have wanted to at home," defender Walker Zimmerman said.

Here’s what you need to know about Saturday's match between Toronto and Miami at BMO Field (1:00 p.m. ET/TSN & Apple TV).
