MONTREAL – Canada's preparation for the 2026-27 Concacaf Nations League continues this weekend when it plays the second of three international friendlies during the FIFA window.

Canada earned a 1-0 win over Chile last week at Toronto's BMO Field in its first outing since this summer's World Cup. It was a hard-fought result for the Canadians, who'll have their hands full again next month.

As one of the top ranked teams in its region, Canada has been given a direct bye to the Concacaf Nations League quarter-finals. Jesse Marsch's side will face an opponent that is still going through the qualifiers in a two-legged, home-and-away affair from Nov. 9-17. The winner advances to the finals which are slated for next March in Los Angeles.

Here’s what you need to know about Saturday's contest between Canada and Peru at Montreal's Stade Saputo (2:00 p.m. ET/TSN & OneSoccer).

Note: I will be at Stade Saputo to cover Saturday's game, so be sure to visit TFC Republic in order to check out our special on-site coverage.
