Nelson Palacio's 2026 season with Toronto FC is over before it even had a chance to get started.
TFC announced that the Colombian midfielder underwent successful thigh surgery on Tuesday and that he will miss the remainder of the 2026 MLS campaign. The club did not offer a timeline for Palacio’s recovery, but the hope will be fit to play in the 2027 MLS Sprint season.
"[We] will provide its full support throughout his rehabilitation and wishes him a successful and speedy recovery," TFC said in a media release.
