CPL teams took it on the chin in the quarter-finals of the Canadian Championship this week.

Toronto FC booked its place in the semifinals with a nervy away win over HFX Wanderers FC, while CF Montreal beat Forge FC at home and the Vancouver Whitecaps bested Cavalry FC on the road to advance to the final four.

Overall, MLS clubs lead the all-time series against CPL teams in the Canadian Championship, winning 12 of 16 games with only two losses.
