Liam Fraser is a talented young Canadian midfielder. Of that, there can be no doubt.
But after three years of biding his time at Toronto FC, he now finds himself at a bit of a career crossroads.
Fraser was only 19 when he became the 16th player in TFC history to sign for the first team from its youth academy in 2018, and it was easy to see straight away that the kid could play. He only made 10 MLS appearances in his rookie campaign, but the Toronto native distinguished himself with his tidy distribution of the ball (an 88 per cent passing rate) and defensive skills (a respectable six interceptions).
