TORONTO - Although Toronto FC isn't dead and ready to be buried, the undertaker should start digging the cemetery plot and have the coffin ready to go.

TFC’s playoff hopes took another big hit following a disappointing 4-3 loss to bitter rivals CF Montreal in the latest installment of the Canadian Classique on Sunday night at BMO Field.

Federico Bernardeschi and Lorenzo Insigne both scored inside the first 10 minutes. But the Reds then conceded four straight goals, as they were let down by some macabre defending and suspect goalkeeping from Alex Bono.

With the loss, Toronto (9-14-7) remains in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, four points and three spots below the playoff line with four games left in the season. The three teams above them in the table all have games in hand, as do the three clubs that are directly below them, who are all within two points.
