Toronto FC overpowers Chicago Fire, settles for home draw

Federico Bernardeschi looked sharp in his return on Wednesday, but that wasn’t enough to lift TFC to victory.

Toronto FC overpowers Chicago Fire, settles for home draw
  • Toronto FC 0, Chicago Fire 0

  • TFC records 6th MLS clean sheet this year; only had 3 in 2022

TORONTO – Slowly but surely, Toronto FC is trying to put the recent drama that has shrouded the club in the past.

TFC earned a valuable point in a 0-0 draw against the Chicago Fire on Wednesday night at BMO Field, a result that will do wonders for morale in light of the controversy that enveloped the team last week.

While the Reds will no doubt feel disappointed about not taking three points from a game in which they were the better side, the overall effort, commitment and chemistry on display against Chicago are positive signs for a team that only recently ended a four-game winless skid and a lengthy goal drought.
