The Canadian women’s team continues to roll along at the inaugural FIFA Series in Brazil.

Reduced to 10 players in the first half when defender Jade Rose was sent off, Canada held its nerve and carved out a 3-1 win over South Korea on Tuesday at Arena Pantanal in Cuiabá.

Evelyne Viens opened the scoring and substitute Vanessa Gilles bagged a second-half brace for Canada who sports a 4-1-1 record in 2026 and has won three in a row.

It was far from perfect by Canada on the day, but coach Casey Stoney’s team displayed plenty of grit, attacking intention and game management skills as it looks to build momentum ahead of the Concacaf qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA World Cup that will be held later this year.
