TORONTO – Coming from behind is becoming Toronto FC’s trademark this season.
And while that’s a positive sign, TFC have also let a lot of valuable points slip through their fingers during their nine-match homestand.
Down two goals early in the second half, Toronto fought back to earn a 3-3 draw against the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night before an announced crowd of 15,461. Goalkeeper Luka Gavran netted the equalizer via a header deep into injury time in what will go down as one of the most memorable goals ever scored at BMO Field.
Josh Sargent and Kobe Franklin also scored for TFC (3-2-4) who have three consecutive draws and are unbeaten in their last seven after beginning the MLS campaign with a pair of road losses. Toronto also extended their unbeaten streak at home to 13 games (four wins and nine draws) dating back to June 25, 2025. This also marked the second straight game (and fourth time in five outings) that the Reds rescued a result from a losing position.
