Toronto FC’s mounting injury crisis keeps getting worse as veteran fullback Richie Laryea is expected to be out of action with a thigh injury, the club confirmed on Saturday.

Laryea played the full 90 minutes in Wednesday’s 3-3 draw vs. the Philadelphia Union but was ruled out for Saturday's game at BMO Field that saw TFC lose 2-1 to Atlanta United.

“Richie felt some discomfort after [Wednesday’s match]. We had the opportunity to kind of give him a little bit of time off and get some imaging done. And so, at the moment, he's dealing with a thigh injury that we think is probably about a month to return to play,” GM Jason Hernandez said on Saturday.
