He was only at Toronto FC for less than two seasons, but Matty Longstaff left an indelible impression on the coaching staff and his teammates.
Longstaff, 25, was traded to CF Montreal on Wednesday in a deal that saw TFC receive forward Jules-Anthony Vilsaint and up to $275,000 in general allocation money (GAM).
It’s been roughly 48 hours since Longstaff was dealt to Toronto’s arch rival, with tributes from the Reds continuing to come in for the English midfielder.
