Toronto FC looking to make more use of loan deals in the future

Loan deals played a big part in GM Jason Hernandez’s construction of Toronto FC’s roster for the 2025 season.
TFC also sent out players on loans to other clubs over the course of the campaign.
Some of the loan deals worked out quite nicely. Some didn’t. But one thing is clear: The Reds will continue to use loan mechanisms, for both incoming and outgoing players, next season as they attempt to rebound from a disappointing MLS campaign.
“All things considered, the loan mechanism is going to be something that we'll continue to use, probably in different ways moving forward,” Hernandez said.
