TFC notebook: Reds 'getting closer' to adding to their roster
"We're certainly working on a number of different targets ... when things start to unfold, I think it'll happen quickly," Robin Fraser said.
Toronto FC have played three pre-season games during its training camp in Spain with two more still to come before it returns home to prepare for its 2026 MLS regular season opener.
Thus far coach Robin Fraser has liked how his players have responded to the challenges they've faced in their exhibition matches in Marbella.
"Every game, we have stressed slightly different things and been really happy with how the team has responded, with what is being asked of them. … The first game was very much about how we defended. The second game was a bit more about the attack," Fraser told reporters on Tuesday.
"The third game was how do we try to regain control of games once we lose them, because inevitably, there'll be ebbs and flows, and when we don't have control of the game, what can we do to get back into control of it? So, it's been a really good experience, because everything we've thrown at them, they've responded quite well."
TFC opens its MLS campaign away to FC Dallas on Feb. 21. (Note: I will be at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas to cover this game for TFC Republic).
