Toronto FC opened its 2026 MLS regular season with a 3-2 loss away to FC Dallas this past weekend.

TFC showed some grit in coming from behind to tie the score on two occasions, but slopping defending ended up costing them in the end.

Coming off a loss on the weekend in its season opener, Toronto FC seeks to rebound this week when it faces the Vancouver Whitecaps.

TFC showed plenty of grit but were ultimately undone by some slopping defending in their 2026 MLS season opener in Texas.

TFC suffered through defensive lapses in Saturday's defat away to FC Dallas in their MLS curtain raiser.

"I think we had a really good pre-season. I think we are miles better as a collective compared to the end of last season," Mihailovic said.
