Toronto FC vs. New England Revolution: What you need to know
TFC look to end a 10-game winless run and collect their victory in over three months on Wednesday at Gillette Stadium.
Fresh off a disappointing draw in Montreal, Toronto FC continues its four-game road swing with a pair of contests this week against Eastern Conference rivals New England Revolution and D.C. United.
A 1-1 draw at Stade Saputo snapped the team's three-game losing streak, but it also extended its winless run to nine games in league play – 10 in all competitions. TFC haven’t won since April 4 when they earned a 3-2 home decision over the Colorado Rapids.
"Obviously, where we are in the standings and playing against teams in the Eastern Conference, these games are potentially huge swings for us. So, certainly, we have to approach the games that way," coach Robin Fraser said.
Here’s what you need to know about Wednesday's game between Toronto and New England at Gillette Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET/TSN & Apple TV).
