Is Toronto FC for real? 

TFC have looked revitalized under John Herdman this year after coming off their worst season in franchise history and are within touching distance of the top four in the Eastern Conference at the halfway point of the 2024 MLS campaign. 

The Reds' strong start to the season caught a lot of pundits and fans by surprise, and now they're wondering if Herdman's side can reach that next level by establishing themselves as one of the league's top contenders. 

TFC Republic spoke to former U.S. international Sacha Kljestan, currently working as a commentator for MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, about Toronto FC's season so far. We also asked Kljestan about what it was like playing under Jesse Marsch at the New York Red Bulls, and his thoughts on Marsch's recent comments comparing him to TFC captain Jonathan Osorio.
