Inactive since competing in April’s FIFA Series in Brazil, Canada cruised to a 6-0 victory over Costa Rica in an international friendly at Estadio Piedades de Santa Ana.
Janine Sonis netted a hat trick, and Evelyne Viens, Jordyn Huitema and Marie-Yasmine Alidou also scored for Canada who sports a record of five wins and two losses in 2026.
Costa Rica had a player sent off in the 53rd minute in a game in which it looked second best by a far distance.
