Will there be more fan protests at BMO Field on Wednesday night when TFC hosts Eastern Conference leaders FC Cincinnati?
A disastrous week highlighted by growing fan unrest seemed to throw Toronto FC's season completely off the rails.
But TFC responded with their best effort of the campaign in a 2-0 win over D.C. United on Saturday, a result that snapped the team's lengthy scoring drought in MLS play at BMO Field and a winless run at home that dated back to last September.
"We felt like last week was an aberration from what had been happening before. And [the players] looked at each other tonight before they went out and talked about committing and fighting together. And nothing even about tactics; just about commitment and commitment to each other. And I felt like it showed from minute one," coach Robin Fraser said.
