Toronto FC swept by FC Cincinnati in season series
Wednesday’s shutout loss at home wasn’t well received by the club’s long-suffering fans who bothered to show up.

- Toronto FC 0, FC Cincinnati 1 (Denkey 18’)
- TFC haven’t won back-to-back MLS games since last summer
- Reds have just 1 win in last 11 meetings vs. Orange and Black
TORONTO – It’s one step forward followed by another step back for Toronto FC.
Fresh off a morale-boosting victory last weekend, TFC came up with a rather tame showing in Wednesday’s 1-0 loss to FC Cincinnati at BMO Field before a sparse announced attendance of 14,018.
Toronto (2-7-4) has now been shut out on six occasions in league play this season (three times in its previous four outings) and hasn’t won back-to-back games in MLS since last summer when John Herdman was still in charge. Eastern Conference leaders Cincinnati (9-3-1) has won nine of its last 11 meetings vs. TFC with just one loss.
