Zane Monlouis could be like a new signing for TFC next year
The defender's rehab from a year-ending injury went better than expected, and he should be fully fit for pre-season camp in January.
Toronto FC received a major boost before its final game of the season last month that loyal supporters of the club never saw.
Defender Zane Monlouis didn’t dress for TFC’s 4-2 home win over Orlando City on Oct. 18, but the day before he was back on the practice pitch with the rest of his teammates and involved in full training for the first time in close to four months. Monlouis sustained an abductor and rectus injury on June 25 in a 1-1 home draw vs. the New York Red Bulls. The injury was so serious that the Reds put him on the season-ending injury list and he didn’t play for the rest of the year.
But Monlouis’ recovery and rehabilitation went better than expected, and the expectation is that he will be fully prepared for pre-season camp in January ahead of the 2026 MLS campaign.
