Contract option, loan decisions loom large for Toronto FC
Sixteen TFC players are in the option year of their contracts or at the end of their loans. Who should come back next season?

Toronto FC faces some very important roster decisions going into what will be one of the most important off-seasons in franchise history.
Fourteen players on the Reds' current roster are in the option years of their contracts, and two others are at the end of their loan deals. That means management must decide who from this long list they want to bring back in 2026 and who to cut loose. GM Jason Hernandez will have until the league's Nov. 26 deadline to make up his mind.
"If you sit still, then you're falling behind. So, we have to continue to look to make improvements and it's very, very, very difficult to part ways with any of these guys. But as a club, we have to continue to try to get better and try to move forward," coach Robin Fraser said after Saturday's win over Orlando City.
Let's look at the 16 players who could leave Toronto FC this off-season and evaluate whether the club should pick up their contract options (or sign them on a permanent basis) or allow them to walk away.
