What a month it's been for TFC 2 centre back Stefan Kapor.

Kapor, a 16-year-old from Stoney Creek, Ont., finished his first full season with the club (10 appearances, all starts) after debuting for the Young Reds as a 15-year-old last year while still a member of Toronto FC's youth academy.

Before the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro campaign even ended, Kapor was signed by Toronto FC as a homegrown player through 2029 with a club option for 2030. He is set to join Toronto's roster when his contract becomes effective on Jan. 1, 2026.

Then on Tuesday, Kapor was named as one of 21 players to Canada's roster for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, which runs from Nov. 3-27 in Qatar. Also making the cut on coach Mike Vitulano's Canadian squad were TFC 2 defenders Richard Chukwu and Elijah Roche, and midfielder Timothy Fortier. TFC 2 midfielder is one of two alternates on the Canadian squad.
