Chukwu subbed on in win vs. Chile at BMO Field

Toronto FC defender Richard Chukwu made his debut for the Canadian men's team on Saturday in a 1-0 win over Chile at BMO Field.

Chukwu, an 18-year-old from Bradford, Ont., was subbed on in the 88th minute when he came on for Niko Sigur to earn his first cap at senior level.

The young defender previously played for Canada at the under-17 and under-20 level and made his full Toronto FC debut earlier this summer after signing an MLS contract after cutting his teeth with TFC 2 in MLS NEXT Pro.
