Footy Prime: Where would TFC be without Sean Johnson?

Sean Johnson has been a rare bright spot for Toronto FC during a drab and disappointing 2025 MLS season.

TFC (5-13-10) sit in 13th place in the Eastern Conference with six games left in the campaign and are poised to miss the playoffs for a fifth straight year. Things could've been a lot worse for the Reds this term if not for Johnson, who has looked sharp in earning seven clean sheets while playing behind an ever-changing back line.

The latest Footy Prime podcast raised the question: Where would TFC be this season without Johnson? Host James Sharman, and Canada Soccer Hall of Famers Craig Forrest and Amy Walsh welcomed TFC Republic's John Molinaro to the podcast to discuss how important Johnson has been this year.

The guys also chatted to John about the hugely important off-season facing club GM Jason Hernandez, TFC wingback Richie Laryea's contributions, and the Canadian men's team's games vs. Romania and Wales this month.
