TORONTO - Struggling to find its footing all season, Toronto FC put in its best overall performance under new coach Bob Bradley on Wednesday night against its bitter rivals.
Ayo Akinola was the star of the show in the latest installment of the Canadian Classique, bagging a brace to guide TFC to a convincing 4-0 victory over CF Montreal in the semifinals of the Canadian Championship at BMO Field.
It was Akinola's first multi-goal game for Toronto since recording a hat trick vs. Montreal in the MLS is Back tournament on July 16, 2020. Jesús Jiménez and Alejandro Pozuelo also scored for the Reds.
