Toronto FC’s search for its first win of the 2021 MLS season is over.

TFC put in its best overall performance of the domestic campaign on Wednesday night and were rewarded for it in the form of a convincing 2-0 win over Columbus SC at Exploria Stadium in Orlando.

Captain Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore scored against the defending MLS Cup champions for Toronto, who went winless (two losses and a draw) through its first three matches of the season. The victory was also the first in MLS under coach Chris Armas, and the first clean sheet in the league for TFC. Beyond scoring the opener, Bradley distinguished himself with a man-of-the-match display, earning an assist on Altidore’s goal and running himself ragged in defence and attack.
