TFC injury report: Lorenzo Insigne questionable vs. St. Louis City
The Italian DP could miss his second straight game this weekend when Toronto FC hosts the expansion club at BMO Field.
There is a good chance that Toronto FC will go into this weekend's home game vs. St. Louis City SC minus all three of its three Designated Players.
When TFC takes to the pitch against the expansion club at BMO Field on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET/Apple TV) in the first-ever meeting between the sides, they'll be missing Federico Bernardeschi and Jonathan Osorio. But Lorenzo Insigne's status remains up in the air.
Insigne is dealing with a lower body injury and is listed as questionable for the St. Louis match, according to the team's official injury report that was published on Thursday. The Italian started in Toronto's 1-0 home loss to Real Salt Lake last weekend, but was subbed out after 45 minutes. As a result, he didn't play in the Reds' 4-0 loss away to Orlando City on Tuesday.
