TORONTO – For the second game in a row Toronto FC was able to salvage a point thanks to a late equalizer from the unlikeliest of goal scorers.

Kobe Franklin found the back of the net in the 88th minute of a 3-3 draw against Austin FC last Saturday, marking the young fullback’s first MLS goal in 69 MLS games for the Reds.

But goalkeeper Luka Gavran topped that feat with his injury-time equalizer in a dramatic 3-3 draw vs. the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday before an announced crowd of 15,461 fans at BMO Field.

Down a goal in the sixth minute of injury time, TFC threw players forward in search of a tying goal. The Reds turned the screws on the Union before Gavran nodded home off a dangerous cross deep into the box from Alonso Coello.
