TFC faces some big questions coming out of the MLS break
Toronto FC's upcoming four-game road swing could go a long way in determining its fate for the 2026 MLS season.
Idle since the latter part of May, Toronto FC returns to action on Thursday when it pays a visit to Stade Saputo for the latest installment of the Canadian Classique vs. CF Montreal.
"I think it's a good game to start off with. It's a rivalry game. ... It kind of sets the tone for us for the rest of the rest of the year, especially with it being away and then having a decent amount of away games to end this second half of the season," fullback Richie Laryea said this week.
Note: I will be at Stade Saputo in Montreal to cover Thursday's game, so be sure to visit TFC Republic in order to check out our special on-site coverage.
This will be TFC's first game since suffering a 2-1 road loss to the Chicago Fire on May 23 in their final outing before MLS went into shutdown mode for nearly two months due to this summer's FIFA World Cup.
