Team kept tabs on TFC 2 prospect since pre-season
Toronto FC made an interesting roster move this past week when it signed TFC 2 defender Richard Chukwu to an MLS contract as a "homegrown player" through the 2029-30 season with a club option for 2030-31
Chukwu, still only 18, is considered one of Toronto FC's most promising youth academy products, so it didn't come as a terrible surprise to see him secure an MLS deal.
