The Canadian men's team is going back to the site of one of its most historic wins, looking for a little inspiration ahead of this summer's FIFA World Cup.

This week's international friendly vs. Uzbekistan at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium will be the Canadians' penultimate tuneup match before the World Cup.

It's also Canada's first time back in Edmonton since the famous "Iceteca" game, a 2022 World Cup qualifier that produced a memorable 2-1 win over Mexico before 44,212 fans under former coach John Herdman.

"We're very proud of the experience that these guys had in Edmonton years ago, and the idea of coming here was to play in one of the biggest stadiums [and] make sure there's a lot of momentum around the team. I've been calling this the people's team, and to do that, we really need to be in every market that we can possibly be in," coach Jesse Marsch said on Sunday.

Here’s what you need to know about Monday's contest between Canada and Uzbekistan at Commonwealth Stadium (9:00 p.m. ET/OneSoccer & TSN).
