Toronto FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps: 3 takeaways
TFC's scoring drought now stands at 330 consecutive minutes after Wednesday's loss in the Canadian Championship final.
Toronto FC's long wait for another trophy continues on unabated.
TFC came out of the wrong end of a 4-2 penalty shootout loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps in Wednesday's Canadian Championship final at BC Place, a result that denied the Reds' their ninth tournament title and a berth in next year's Concacaf Champions Cup.
While the Whitecaps have now won three consecutive Voyageurs Cups, TFC hasn't won the tournament since 2018, although they did beat Forge FC in the 2020-Covid delayed final in 2022.
Here are my three major takeaways from Wednesday's match.
