Some random thoughts I had on Toronto FC ahead of Saturday's home match vs. the New England Revolution (7:30 p.m. ET/TSN & Apple TV).

German midfielder's self-awareness is refreshing

Nicklas Dorsch spoke with local reporters for the first time on Wednesday at Toronto FC's training ground, his official media unveiling occurring nearly two weeks after he made his MLS debut.

Dorsch, 28, impressed in his first outing for the Reds in a 1-1 draw vs. New York City FC at Yankee Stadium, winning plaudits from both coach Robin Fraser and fellow midfielder Djordje Mihailovic for the way he helped Toronto build out from the back while also effectively shielding the defence.
