Toronto FC vs. Pacific FC: 3 takeaways
Jacob Shaffelburg continues to shine, while Jozy Altidore is slowing regaining his top form as TFC is through to the Canadian Championship finals.
A campaign gone awry for Toronto FC that was supposed to end with a meaningless regular season finale this weekend will instead conclude with the Reds playing for some silverware.
TFC got the better of the CPL’s Pacific FC on Wednesday night at BMO Field, booking their place in the Canadian Championship final (location and date still to be announced) against arch-rivals CF Montreal.
Pacific, the current CPL leaders, were no match for the second-worst team in MLS, and the margin of victory made it appear much closer than it was when, in fact, it wasn’t terribly close at all.
Here are my three major takeaways from the game.
