Toronto FC have delved back into the international transfer market.
Having signed Venezuelan international Yeferson Sotelo via transfer from Brazilian club Santos FC late last month, TFC announced Friday it has completed another transfer move, this time bringing left fullback Kemar Lawrence into the fold from Belgian side Anderlecht.
Lawrence, who has signed with Toronto through the 2024 MLS season, will be added to the club’s roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
Lawrence, a 28-year-old from Jamaica, joined Anderlecht after spending five seasons with the New York Red Bulls. Lawrence scored five goals and tallied 10 assists in 129 regular season and playoff games for New York (earning 124 starts), from 2015 to 2019.
